Prof. Płatek pisze do Ambasady Norwegii w Warszawie ws. zlikwidowania funduszy równościowych
Czasami okazuje się, że to co dzieje się nad Wisłą przypomina radio Erewań. Przesunięcie funduszy to nie to samo co ich likwidacja. A dążenie do i wdrażanie równości genderowej we wszystkich płaszczyznach życia społecznego to nie to samo, co rezygnacja z gender.
Norwegia, wreszcie, to kraj, gdzie gender traktuje się z szacunkiem bez względu na akcje komediantów.
Możemy się więc rzeczywiście od nich uczyć i brać z Norwegów przykład…tylko bez wciskania kitów i bez dezinformacji, panowie z witualnapolonia! wirtualna polonia, a Polonia jednak czyni różnicę.
Dostałam list od Miłej Słuchaczki z informacją, że pod wpływem filmu zrobionego przez norweskiego komika na temat paradoksu równości genderowej, która jego zdaniem jest nie do pogodzenia z biologią, Norwegia zlikwidowała wszystkie fundusze na gender equality i gender studies.
Obejrzałam film. Gęsto w nim od błędów metodologicznych, niespójności i przekłamań. Z niedowierzaniem więc zastukałam do źródła. Zwróciłam się do Norweskiej Ambasady w Warszawie z prośbą o informacje jak naprawdę rzecz się ma.
Napisałam 7 grudnia 2013 list następującej treści:
Dear Norwegian Representative,
I would like to get information on how far it is true that after distribution of the film “Gender Equality Paradox” Norwegian government withdrew all the funds for promotion of gender equality and gender mainstreaming, and stopped all the possible action supporting gender. Such information is published on: www.wirtualnapolonia.com.
„Po publikacji filmu “Gender Equality Paradox”, norweski rząd wycofał wszelkie dotacje dla promowania ideologii gender. Posted by Włodek Kuliński – Wirtualna Polonia w dniu 2013-11-27 Gender Equality Paradox – norweski komik na tropach absurdów gender”.
I am to talk about it in media very soon and therefore I would like to know to what extent the data are real, to have a chance to confirm that information.
If it is true, I would like to know the Norwegian government’s arguments supporting such a decision.
If it is not true, I would like to have some clue as to what is done at present in order to support gender equality in Norway.
I would also like to know to what extent the term „gender ideology” is really used in Norway for gender mainstreaming and gender studies.

Dear Ms Platek,
The screening of the program „Gender Equality Paradox” in early 2010 generated a lot of public debate, indeed. I can confirm that this debate contributed to The Research Council of Norway’s decision in 2011 to finalize it funding of gender studies as a separate program. However, these funds were redistributed in order to strengthen the gender perspectives in several other programmes under The Research Council.
As for the claim that the Norwegian government has withdrawn all funds for promoting gender equality, I can assure you that is completely untrue and unfounded.
Norway pursues an active policy in order to achieve equality between men and women. This policy includes both gender mainstreaming and gender specific actions.
Norway’s gender-equality act was passed as early as 1978. The law prohibits all discrimination on the basis of sex and is applied to all aspects of society. Over time, the law has had positive effects: Today Norway is considered to be one of the most gender equal countries in the world. In 2012 Norway was ranked by the World Economic Forum’s Global Gender Gap Report as the country with the third highest level of gender equality.
